All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name.

Psalm 86:9

Worship Team

The worship team serves as the primary worship group for the weekly church services, prayer meetings, special gatherings and seasonal services. We believe there is no one “right way” of praising the Father. We focus on the freedom God gives us to worship and endeavor to model freedom in worship for the entire congregation.

Choir and Chosen 300 Worship Team

The Calvary choir ministers once a quarter and during special seasonal services. They sing for the special services during Holy Week, on Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter, as well as for the Christmas Eve service.

The Chosen 300 worship team brings worship to Philadelphia’s homeless community at the Chosen 300 facility . This team ministers on the second Wednesday every other month.

Dance Ministry

Dance adds another dimension to worship. Calvary’s dancers provide an artistic interpretation of songs which allows the congregation to hear the song with our eyes. Dance has been featured at our Good Friday and Christmas Eve services.

Media and Technology

The media and technology team works behind the scenes to enhance the worship experience by operating the audio, visual and lighting equipment. They also record the weekly services by audio, video and photography. Sermons are available here and also on the Calvary Wyncote app.

Worship Conference

We hosted our first annual worship conference, The Dynamics of Worship, in October of 2019. This was an intimate gathering for those who were interested in growing deeper in the Who, What, Why and How of Worship. Dynamic teachings were interspersed with inspirational worship led by worship leaders from Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The session on Saturday morning featured a panel of worship leaders sharing from over 150 years of combined ministry experience. We hope to repeat the worship conference again in 2020.
