Our Mission: Learning, Living, and Sharing the Good News of Jesus.

  • We are committed to keep learning about Jesus and His message for us.
  • We are dedicated to applying the biblical truths we have learned so our lives are transformed by the Holy Spirit.
  • We are enthusiastic about sharing the Good News of Jesus through how we live and interact with others.

Our Core Values

Calvary Church embraces the following values. These are not doctrinal statements, but how we see our congregation formed by God’s Word.

Biblically Faithful

well worn Bible

We believe that every person needs a biblical moral compass to guide them through life. Although we value culture and tradition, Scripture is the compass and our final authority for life and conduct. We seek to be creative and flexible in styles and methods of ministry consistent with scriptural principles. 2 Timothy 3:16, Psalm 119:105, 133, Psalm 25:4 – 5

Spiritually Passionate

We seek to love God in vibrant worship, passionate and Holy Spirit empowered prayer, and with obedient and generous giving of our lives and resources to love and serve others in His name. Luke 10:27, James 5:16, and Romans 12:11

Grace Oriented

We champion God’s unconditional love and gracious forgiveness through Jesus Christ. We believe in motivating people through love and gratitude toward God rather than through guilt or shame. We affirm that grace in our relationships is evidenced by the expression of the fruit of the Spirit given in Galatians 5:22 – 23. John 1:16 – 17, Ephesians 2:4 – 10, 2 Peter 3:18

Family Affirming

family affirming

We seek to provide a ministry environment that strengthens and supports marriage and family. We believe in providing age appropriate ministry for all family members. Mark 10:13 – 16, Matthew 19:5, Ephesians 5:21 – 33

Community Focused

We believe that we are called by Jesus to serve our community with good deeds that demonstrate God’s love and goodness. Our community is our first mission field. We are committed to using a variety of methods to build relational bridges to our community thereby providing evidence of God’s love. Matthew 5:16, James 2:26, 3:13, 1 Peter 2:12

Missionally Motivated

We are called and motivated by the mission Jesus gave us to seek and save the lost. Our goal is to develop and implement effective evangelism strategies to all cultures in order to introduce Jesus to them. This mission is supported by Acts 1:8, Luke 19:10, John 17:18 and John 20:21 – 22

People Developing

We seek to help people grow spiritually and learn how to be a committed disciple of Jesus. We encourage believers to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to both discover and use their spiritual gifts. We encourage growth in Christ through 1) Sunday worship experiences, 2) Small groups, 3) Mentoring relationships, 4) Outreach opportunities, and 5) Various other ministries. In those contexts we develop friendships, learn how to care for each other and experience life together. Our goal is total life transformation! Acts 2:39, 42, Ephesians 4:15 – 16, and 2 Peter 1:5 – 11
