Complete in Christ: Women’s Wednesday Evening Group Led by Brenda Morris

“We live in an age when everyone is trying to live richer, fuller lives. We’re told to buy this, try that, eat those, and say no to the rest, as if that’s all we need to do to make our lives complete.

Two thousand years ago, the church at Colossae faced similar challenges. The apostle Paul wrote a letter outlining the only way we can live complete lives: Christ. What can we learn today from this ancient Church?

Ladies, all you need is your Bible to benefit from this study. However, as an additional resource, you might want to consider purchasing the study guide, Colossians: The Warren Wiersbe Bible Study Series.

We encourage you to join us regardless of your ability to attend every meeting. You will be blessed and we will be blessed by your participation!

Living Free – A Group for Adults Led by Rick Dodridge

It’s a great time to join us in learning how to walk in the freedom Christ has promised you! We all have hurts, hang-ups and habits that can distract us from fulfilling the purpose God has for us.

Rick Warren says: “You’ve heard the expression “time heals all wounds.” Unfortunately, it isn’t true… The truth is, time often makes things worse. Wounds that are left untended fester and spread infection throughout your entire body. Time only extends the pain if the problem isn’t dealt with.”

Calvary’s Living Free group is here to help you receive wholeness and healing through biblical principles.

We meet every Thursday night at 7pm via Zoom. We are beginning a new study of The Beatitudes and applying those truths to our daily walk into restoration and wholeness through the Celebrate Recovery curriculum.
Join us every Thursday night for great discussions centered around the life-changing word of God!

Iron Men – A Group for Men Led by Rick Dodridge

A preacher once came to a church, began with his first sermon. Everyone loved it. The next Sunday, he preached the same sermon. The same for the week after and the week after that. People began to ask him, “Pastor, why are you preaching the same sermon week after week?” The pastor replied, “When you begin to apply this message, I will move on to the next one.”

For almost a year now, Iron Men have been meeting weekly to discuss Pastor Randy’s message from the Sunday before. I receive comments like, “I find myself taking notes now so I’m prepared to talk about the message on Monday nights!” or “This group helps me meditate on the preached word throughout the week!”

Sometimes, we can be so forgetful, if we don’t meditate on the word preached to us, we can forget it by Wednesday!

Become like a Berean from Bible times who were known for their study of God’s word. Let God’s word be “written on the tablets of your heart.”

This is an invitation for all Calvary’s men to go deeper and join us every Monday night at 7:30pm via Zoom.

A Man and His Traps – Led by Myron Johnson and Bob Leinheiser

Men are being told LIES about what it means to be a man – and it’s literally killing us. We’re exhausted from the constant pressure, loneliness and feeling like we never measure up. Could there be a better way?

Authentic Manhood has developed a group of studies for men to help them discover a healthy vision for manhood and become who they’re created to be. The goal of this group is to create a community where men both impart encouragement to, and receive encouragement from, other men.

Group meets alternate Saturdays from 8am – 9:30am (Jan. 30, Feb. 13 & 27, Mar. 13 & 27, April 10 & 24)

Your Weakness, God’s Strength – Led by Wendy-Anne Johnson

This study for women, authored by Priscilla Shirer explores the life of Gideon. From a state of fear, weakness, and insecurity, Gideon emerged as Israel’s hero, filled with God’s presence and His passion for deliverance. This group will encourage women you to recognize your weakness as the key that the Lord gives you to unlock the full experience of His strength in your life. In what ways do you feel insufficient? Those places create the greatest opportunity to experience the sufficiency of God.

Group meets 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. March through June.

Young Adult Women’s Group (ages 18-25) – Led by Katie Tweedle
