Calvary’s compassion ministry was at it again on Wednesday, September 12th, with a group of volunteers sharing the love and good news about Jesus to the homeless in Center City. Our team of 19 was joined by several students from Temple University and a few others from out of town.
The choir sang two songs and Charles Washington shared the Word of Life. His word for the day was kindness. After the message we served spaghetti and meat sauce, salad, green beans sliced Italian bread and homemade baked dessert.
There were over 155 guests in attendance Wednesday evening. No guest went home empty handed because on their way out they received a pair of socks and personal toiletry bag.
Thanks again to all those who cooked, sang, shared the word and served the meal. God was glorified and hearts were touched.
