Randy Eliason

Lead Pastor

Randy is the Lead Pastor of Calvary Church. Born and raised in Queens, NY, Randy has always loved city life. After he graduated from Valley Forge Christian College (now Valley Forge University) in 1987, Randy immediately jumped into full-time ministry. He has served as a youth pastor, assistant pastor, executive pastor and lead pastor in several New York churches. He’s also been called upon by the New York Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God for various leadership roles, including serving as a Presbyter for eight years.

Randy and his wife Christine (a Pennsylvania native!) met while they were students at Valley Forge. You’ll frequently hear Randy saying that Christine, and their sons Peter and Evan, are the greatest blessings God has ever given him.
Randy’s most recent blessing is the gift God has given him to serve Calvary Church. With all of his heart he longs to see our church embody the Gospel to the entire Philadelphia Metropolitan area, and even to the world.
  • He believes that all of life should be lived out of overwhelming gratitude for the grace of God provided for us through the cross of Christ.
  • He believes the church must be guided by God’s Word and empowered by God’s Spirit.
  • He believes that the church must build bridges and remove barriers in order to connect people to Christ and His church.
  • He believes that everyone has a gift and a place in God’s family.
  • He believes that we are most effective when we work in partnerships with other churches and ministries in our community and around the world.

Dana McCrewell

Associate Pastor: Connections & Compassion Ministries

Dana serves as the Connection/Compassion Outreach Pastor. Dana has been a member of Calvary Church for more than ten years and served six years as a Board member.  In 2014 he became a bi-vocational pastor overseeing the Outreach (Missional) Ministry.  Prior to coming to Calvary Church he was ordained an Elder at New Covenant Community Church (NCCC) in the city of Philadelphia.  NCCC’s focus was reaching out to the community with the life changing Gospel of Jesus Christ and developing leaders within the church and community.

The objectives of the Connection Ministry (Hospitality, Ushers, Greeters, Safety) are to make:

  • the worship experience all that God intends for it to be for visitors, regular attendees and members.
  • others feel welcomed, safe and appreciated. It all starts with something I love to do, giving a warm smile, a hearty handshake and a warm welcome.
  • others experience the Love of Jesus Christ the moment they walk through the doors.
  • others connect with one another and building life long relationships with each other and with Jesus Christ.

The objectives of the Compassion Outreach Ministry are to make:

  • others become connected to Calvary Church through serving with their gifts that God has given them.
  • others becoming excited about sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Whether in our community, neighboring communities, notionally or internationally.

Our Food Pantry and our homeless outreach with Chosen 300 are dear to Dana’s heart. He likes to refer to them as “SHOW and TELL” ministries: “Show” the Love of Jesus through Serving, and “Tell” others about the goodness of Jesus through Sharing the Gospel.

Dana’s heart is filled daily with gratitude because of God’s great gifts to him—Annette, his wife of over 30 years, and their two children, Christopher and Dayná Christina. When he is not working he enjoys preparing meals for family and friends, traveling whether by boat, plane, train or car, and deep-sea fishing. One of his life scriptures is Matthew 10:5-8 with an emphasis on verse 8: “Freely you have received, freely give.”

Tom Tweedle

Associate Pastor: Student Ministries

Thomas was born and raised just outside of Baltimore. After graduating from Valley Forge Christian College (now University of Valley Forge) in 2008 with a degree in Youth Ministry and Pastoral Counseling, he served as youth/associate pastor and a short stint as interim lead pastor at Destiny Christian Center in Syracuse until November of 2017. He has been serving at Calvary church since December of 2017.

He met his wife Katherine in high school, but didn’t come to his senses until after college, and they married in October of 2009. Even though Thomas would like to be perfect, he understands that he is not. Thankfully, because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, He doesn’t need to be. He takes great pleasure in sharing that good news about Jesus with the world, and aims to give people as many opportunities as possible to receive that news, and live their life differently because if it.

Thomas desires to see the young people of Calvary grow up to reach their fullest potential, which he believes is only possible through the power and presence of Jesus Christ.  While creating safe, engaging, and disciple-making environments for teens and young adults, he plans to help cultivate relationships that will encourage people to walk closer with Jesus, and share His hope with those who don’t know Him yet.

Thomas and Katherine have four furry four-footed children, love the shore, and are always looking for new outdoor places to explore. He loves to run, play volleyball, watch football, and eat food. She likes to read, write, do Zumba, eat food, and eat food.
