A team of twelve people from Calvary Church have committed to giving eight days to serve in South America. Our team will be traveling to Asuncion, Paraguay, in August to work alongside missionaries David and Rosemarie DiTrolio. David and Rosemarie work with four Child Hope schools around Greater Asuncion. About 1500 students ages nursery through 12th grade attend the schools.

The Mission of Child Hope is the transformation of children by means of a relationship with Jesus Christ through a quality education and other ministries of compassion. For many children the meal they receive in the school is the only meal they eat each day.

Our team will minister in the Child Hope schools, work on a construction project helping pour a concrete floor for a large multi-purpose building that will be used as an Evangelistic Community Center, and perform maintenance such as plumbing, painting, and electrical work in the Child Hope schools.

We are currently requesting donations to help provide the financing for our trip. Each of our team members needs to raise $1700. We also need to raise an additional $5000 to cover the cost of materials to help the DiTrolios complete the Evangelistic Community Center.

You can give in the regular Sunday offering, on our Calvary app, or right here on our website. Make sure you select “Paraguay” as the designation for your gift. This will assure that your gifts are used only for this project. Any funds raised in excess of the expenses needed for the trip will be added to our offering for the Evangelistic Community Center project.
