OrangeHey Remix Parents! By now, school is out, the beach is calling, and sometimes Remix can just feel like another event to attend. However, as Summer continues, the most important thing that you can do is to “be a bringer”. Bring your student(s) to Remix on Wednesday nights! We believe that partnering with you begins when your student is present at our services. Every Wednesday night this Summer we have a service from 7-8:30pm designed to reach students grades 6-12. Consistent attendance leads to a lifetime of influence!

This being said, here is a glimpse of what is coming up in July:

#ColorWarSummer: Every week our student small groups are competing against each other to see who will be the winners of our Summer long competition called “color war summer”. Students receive points by inviting “first time guests” to Remix, winning weekly competitions,  raising money for missions and engaging with our weekly messages. This is a fun way for students to meet new friends, get connected, start serving and engage with relevant content designed just for them. Every week is something different. So don’t miss a week!

New Sermon Series- WIRED: Starting Wednesday July 6th Remix will be kicking off a brand new sermon series called “WIRED”. How many hours are you technologically connected on a normal day? If you were to add up your hours online, your glances at text messages, your streaming music, your perusing social media, your Netflix addiction, how many hours could you count? It’s probably a lot. Our culture is obsessed with technology—and with good reason. Technology keeps us connected to each other and to the world around us. Nearly every device we own transmits signals to something else, somewhere else. Why? Because that’s how they’re wired to function. Our phones, tablets, smart watches, gaming systems—they all are wired to connect to something outside them.

And the same is true for us. We are wired for connection. It’s in our design. As we take a closer look at what Jesus called “the greatest commandment”, we discover that we were wired to have three vital relationships: with God, with ourselves, and with others. And when those connections are made, everything else begins to function as it was designed to.
